  81. eXo Design are compiling a CD composed of original music pieces from scene
  82. artists in a cross-section of styles. This is an AUDIO cd - yes, a real audio
  83. CD not another data cd!
  84.  
  85. We are running a competition for the submission of original pieces, and the
  86. winners will have their music published on Audio CD and a free copy of the CD
  87. itself. And because we will be distributing this Cd widely, to magazines and
  88. shops, theres always the possibility of talent being noticed by producers etc!
  89. You may submit as many entries to as many different categories as you wish,
  90. there is no limit!
  91.  
  92. The deadline for all entries is the 1st of January 1998, and we are looking
  93. for a cross-section of styles; these are the main categories of music we would
  94. like to see submitted with examples. This is provided as a rough guideline so
  95. you know how we will be categorising submissions.

  134. We will only allow a maximum of 4 mods of the same category onto the CD to
  135. allow for a wide range of styles.

  137. The free category is for any music you create thats experimental and isn't
  138. about in the mainstream.

  141.  - We won't allow remixes of existing tracks due to copyright breaches -
  142.  - Pieces MUST be of high quality - Audio h/w really shows up faults!  -

  144.  - Please include a NAME and METHOD OF CONTACTING YOU with your piece! -

  223. 1. All entries to the competition must be original and unreleased pieces,
  224.    and must be submitted with a completed copy of the information form
  225.    above.
  226. 2. Entries may be submitted in any of the following formats:
  227.    XM (Fasttracker), PS3M, Protracker & compatible clones, OctaMed & Midi
  228. 3. All entries must use original samples and instruments - music containing
  229.    recognisable copyrighted instruments/samples will be rejected
  230. 4. By entering a piece into the competition, the authors agree that:
  231.    a. They are entirely responsible for the piece and it's contents, including
  232.       any copyright breaches that it may incur.
  233.    b. The Organisers of this competition, eXo design are in no way responsible
  234.       for any copyright or legal breaches.
  235. 5. Upon entering a piece into the competition, the author agrees that whilst
  236.    they retain full copyright, eXo design may without prior notice use the
  237.    music at their discretion. Authors will be informed of such an occurance.
  238. 6. eXo Design are in no way bound to use the complete piece of music, and may
  239.    use any excerpts of the submitted piece.
  240. 7. Any decision made by eXo Design is final
  241. 8. eXo design reserve the right to distribute music on the CD in both data and
  242.    audio formats. eXo Design also hold the SOLE distribution rights to all
  243.    submissions, any breaches of this rule will hold the distributer
  244.    responsible for any and all losses incurred. Ownership and distribution
  245.    rights will revert to the author on the 1st July 1998. Distribution
  246.    includes both audio and data formats.
  247. 9. All entrants must agree to provide their names and contact numbers upon
  248.    request, in case of a legal dispute. All details will be kept confidential
  249.    as per UK Privacy Law.
  250. 10. All entrants will have their name and a method of contact (phone number,
  251.     email address) included in the CD's distribution. This will enable any
  252.     interested parties (Producers etc) to contact them
  253. 11. If any entrant does not want their details distributed, eXo Design will
  254.     respect this right and keep their details confidential as per UK Privacy
  255.     laws.
